Les fonctions centrales de la Collaboration Cochrane sont financées par les redevances de la maison d’édition John Wiley & Sons Limited, qui proviennent des ventes d’abonnements à la Bibliothèque Cochrane. Les entités individuelles de la Collaboration Cochrane sont financées par divers organismes gouvernementaux, institutionnels et privés; elles sont liées par une politique transorganisationnelle limitant l’utilisation de fonds provenant de sociétés commanditaires.
