The scope of the Peripheral Vascular Diseases Group is broad and includes prevention, treatment and rehabilitation for all diseases of the arteries and veins. Some of our reviews compare medical and surgical treatments and may be listed more than once. As the scope of the Group is broad, there are areas of overlap with other groups. Predominantly evidence from randomised controlled trials and controlled clinical trials is used for reviewing health care interventions. Please note that this is not a definitive list; the Group should be contacted with any queries regarding the scope. There are obvious gaps in our title coverage.
If you think you could help us and you would like to register a title, please contact Heather Maxwell (h.g.maxwell@ed.ac.uk), or fill in a title registration form.

It is Collaboration policy that all reviews must be updated at least every two years, even if this is simply to state that no new trials have been found since the last publication. On registering a title with the Peripheral Vascular Diseases Group, review authors are made aware that their reviews must be updated regularly. To assist with this, we will perform further literature searches approximately 12 and 20 months after publication, or sooner if the results from ongoing studies become available. We will notify you of any potentially relevant trials from which data may be extracted and incorporated into the review.
